Capabilities
CII helps define new business models for cultural organizations, individuals and corporations who in the past may have provided contributions to major institutions in support of projects and causes of their choice. However, it also caters to the needs of increasing numbers of individuals and corporations who are becoming aware of opportunities for self-expression and for preserving their legacy independently of the actions of major cultural institutions.
CII's principals and associates have designed, established and managed foundations dedicated to promoting the culture and development of countries and industry sectors. They have been involved in nationwide cultural tourism development strategies and provided support for archeological research. CII has helped devise fundraising strategies for the expansion of municipal museums and the placement of public arts projects; designed "debt-for-culture swaps" of financial instruments, and contributed to the global debate on the politics of culture.
CII has helped establish private collections of arts and crafts and worked with producer cooperatives and artisans. It has also assisted the families of corporate founders in devising appropriate memorial sculptures and other expressions to celebrate the legacy of corporate leadership and success.
CII has established close working relationships with numerous complementary service providers who can add significant expertise to their overall service delivery capabilities.
